The Spinners delivered an impressive performance on the road, racking up a staggering 19 runs on 18 hits, showcasing their offensive prowess and determination.

Batting in the 8th, 9th, and 10th spots in the lineup (with 10 players in the SCBL) is no easy feat. Any seasoned hitter will tell you that the wait for your first at-bat can feel like an eternity, especially in a tense, low-scoring pitcher's duel where you might not see the plate until the 4th inning.

Leading the charge for the Spinners was Southern Smith-Tilley, who shone brightly with 5 hits, including a spectacular home run and a double while coming out of the 10 hole. His performance was nothing short of remarkable as he also crossed home plate 3 times, causing chaos for the A's defense. Supporting him were 5 other Spinners, each contributing with 2 hits. Left fielder Colton Mayes was a standout, making his presence felt all over the field. Although he recorded just 1 hit, he was instrumental in driving in 4 RBI's and consistently put the ball in play. Mayes even executed my favorite play—a hit by pitch RBI—showing his willingness to sacrifice his body for the team. It's a testament to his character, especially considering he has a family to support and school in the fall.

Matthew Bishop continued to impress, frustrating opposing pitchers with his keen eye at the plate, walking 3 times and scoring 3 runs himself, all while backing it up with solid hitting and exceptional defense.

Benny Peng stepped up big with 2 hits and 3 RBI's, proving to be a valuable addition to the Spinners. Watching Peng play is always a treat; he approaches the game with a serious demeanor and a relentless work ethic. He played a crucial role in turning 2 double plays during the game, demonstrating his commitment to the team's success and his love for the sport.

Isiah McDowell, Henry Jackson, and Garret Pyne also contributed significantly, each picking up 2 hits and collectively responsible for scoring 5 more runs. Their teamwork and synergy were evident throughout the game, highlighting their ability to adapt and thrive under pressure. Each player played a vital role in this collective effort, proving that when they unite as a team, they can achieve extraordinary results. The camaraderie and spirit of the Spinners are palpable, making every game an exhilarating experience for both fans and players alike.

The Concord A's did not give up in any way and give them credit for continuing the fight.  The Spinners started it off by building an 8-0 lead but eventually the A's had climbed back in to the fight.  In the 5th inning it was 10-10 but the Spinners eventually ended up rallying with 9 more to come out of there with 19 runs.
